Audi CEO reveals timetable for manufacturer to grow to be electric powered-only

BERLIN — Audi will conclude progress of new internal combustion engine types by the end of 2026 and focus only on complete-electric drivetrains, German media stories stated.

Following 2026, the automaker will only establish battery-driven models, in accordance to Automobilwoche, a sister publication of Automotive News Europe, and a report in German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung

The conclusion was declared by Audi CEO Markus Duesmann at a management conference at the automaker’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany, on Thursday, according to the reviews, which cited business resources.
