The owner of a Westville small business was arrested on a demand of corruption following a sheriff’s office environment investigation observed that he was marketing stolen vehicle areas.
William T. Scott, 52, of Kouts, operator of Catalytic Exchange in Westville, was arrested June 10, 2021, soon after a large-scale investigation, in accordance to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Place of work.
The investigation started out May possibly 5 when deputies responded to a Clinton Township home on a report of a burglary in progress. Soon after adhere to-up interviews, investigators acquired that stolen vehicle components were being being taken to a La Porte County business enterprise and then marketed.
